Finance Manager
Cheltenham
Permanent role – Monday – Friday
£45-50k + Bonus + excellent benefits
A highly prestigious business are seeking a commercially astute CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified finance manager to join an excelling business. The Finance Manager will oversee the day to day running of the finance function, with responsibility for producing monthly management accounts and will assist the Head of Finance with managing the Finance team.
They will be part of a small team and therefore they will need to have a flexible and adaptable approach. They will need excellent communication skills with an ability to consult with operational staff at all levels.
Responsibilities
- Management of purchase/sales ledgers, payroll function to ensure transactions are recorded and processed in a timely manner
- Prepare Monthly Management accounts and review control account reconciliations
- Prepare VAT returns
- Develop the monthly reporting pack to provide accurate and timely information to non-finance managers
- Assist with year-end audit and other ad-hoc reporting
Qualifications and Skills required
- Confident finance manager/management accountant seeking a step up
- Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
- Previous experience in all aspects of accounts function (ideally payroll too but this is not essential)
- Month end processing and reporting experience
- Analytically minded
- Good team player
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Good IT literacy – advanced excel
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Excellent time management
