Pay Administrator (Temporary, Long Term)

Location: Gloucester
Rate: £14.17 per hour

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our client’s Pay Team as a full-time Payroll Administrator, providing payroll services for Gloucestershire County Council and several external clients.

Role Overview:

In this role, you will be at the heart of the council, delivering a wide range of cost-effective, timely services to meet the needs of both internal and external customers. Your responsibilities will include processing payroll payments, handling pay queries via our ContactUs helpline, and offering guidance on employment terms and conditions.

About You:

As a Payroll Administrator, you will bring excellent organizational skills to help you prioritize workloads and maintain our service levels. You should have relevant administrative payroll experience and a strong understanding of payroll processes to ensure compliance with regulations.

You will need to be technically proficient, with excellent communication and customer service skills to effectively resolve tax and pay queries. The successful applicant must be able to manage competing demands, work well under pressure, and ensure that payrolls are accurate, meet statutory requirements, and are processed within monthly deadlines.
